MonsterMind
Once upon a time, in a land made of luxurious square tiles and pixellated rocks and rivers, thrived a peaceful folk. Though their dwellings were simple, made of straw, mud and wood and their lifestyle frugal, the non-existence of a disease named The Great Doomscrolling allowed them enough time to turn to spiritual practices, granting them mastery over mind, time, Nicolas Cage movies and plenty of other similar concepts whose awesomeness we mortals can’t fathom.
But on one fateful day, the Great Monster Tribe of Killerswellthey’reactuallyfineblokeswithfamiliesbutnooneeverthinksaboutthat, jealous of such prowess, were sent onto the warpath by their Evil Overlord masters (creditted at the bottom of this pile of nonsense) to invade the min-maxing tribe of peaceful folks we’ll never get to see because hey it’s a game jam do you think we’ve got time for this ?
These monsters are far too powerful to fight ! But luckily, the shamans of the tribe may have a solution : it would appear the monsters are simple-minded enough to be influenced by the almighty GetRekt spell, allowing to etch into their mind new directives going directly against self-preservation.
Indeed, why fight monsters when you can go for the big brain move and make them fight themselves, drown in a puddle, or simply go away far enough they become somebody else’s problem. Really, can we hire these shamans already ?
Controls : mouse.
Drag and drop new instructions to insert them into the monster's subconcious. Warning : these monsters are so impressionable that once they've performed an instruction, it will be permanently BURNED into their brain. Poor things. You have a limited pool of instructions : choose correctly how and when to add them.
Hit Go (or spacebar) to make the monsters move. The instructions you have added will be permanently added to that monster and can no longer be removed.
If you feel the situation's desperate, you can hit retry : the shamans will sacrifice themselves to go back in time to try again. The sacrifice will feel heavy on your chest and the All-Mother will judge you, but then again, they're still alive in the past and they won't remember a thing. So hey, timey wimey and all that.
